Half His Age by Jennette McCurdy was so disappointing ugh I wanted to love it so bad😭I think maybe I would’ve liked it a little more if I hadn’t already read My Dark Vanessa which tells a similar story but so much better. I loved her memoir though and I do hope she keeps writing

These monsters turn their backs on their own community then will somehow inevitably be shocked when they are eventually turned on by the very people they betrayed us for. You are not an exception to them, they will come for you too.

No words to describe the feelings of betrayal that hit me whenever I see a Latino ICE agent. It never shocks me because things like this have been a problem in our community for a very long time, but it still feels like a gut punch.
