Watching the awesome Galaxies Showcase?
You can find out more on each game, contact promoters and request code for a bunch of games featured in tonight's Galaxies Showcase via the landing page on PressEngine:

The page will update with more announcements at the end of the show.
Nope - If that account is disabled and then reactivated and updates with a new publication, it's not counted.
23.10.2025 08:13 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I started doing a fansite in 2003, and didn't call myself a videogames journalist until I was on staff in 2007. I would never call myself a real journalist, although I did write for some amazing lifestlye magazines etc.

Yeah, I feel for you there. I once had a fullt-time editoral role at $18k. I took a $10k pay cut to get out of freelancing, and that role was $6k higher than a magazine role.
People should be paid for the value they bring, but online publishing pay has never been good from independent publishers.
They're classified as freelancers. But, I have no control over how Gamurs pay thier staff, or that they moved from staffed to freelancers post aquisition.
Prior to aquisitions, the vast majority of their staff were full-time. They might not have been paid well, but that's another story.
And to clarify, I have never said full-time staff. I've said journalists. Being paid to write can, but doesn't always make you a journalist. Nobody on the planet could claim to know if someone is full-time or not, but our classification is as near as you can possibly get, I think.

We classify freelancers differently than full-time staff (They are also attached to multiple outlets on the platform).
We classify tier one media (for the most part, and with a few exceptions), as websites with close to 1m deduplicated UMV+, owned by a business, paying their writers.
Then I'll consider you shocked. There are thousands of media writing for thousands of tier one publications globally.
I'm more than happy to show you if you'd like (I can hide their details). gareth [at] pressengine [dot] net
We didn't add you as a contact - we have clients.
As per privacy laws, they have a reasonable right to contact you and you have a right to request removal. We did that within a matter of hours.
Hey Jason, That's globally. Some territories have more videogames media than others, and a tier one website from thailand may be entirely unknown in the US or Europe.
Also, the E3 leak didn't include an awful lot of media from oustide the US who didn't travel due to cost and/or relevance
We are proud to be a part of Steam's Next Fest! Check out the new trailer, and grab the demo! It's available now!

Media, do not worry, I got you.
I look forward to seeing you all in Cologne tomrorow.
You will find me eating McRibs at random times. Top Tip: When flying from Cologne on your way back, the McDonalds is not air side; you need to get a McRib before you go through security.
Agree, but yor suggestions about the IDF are baseless, and denying a genocide is ridiculous at this point.

Of course they should have been freed a long time ago, but you ignored the most important part of my post.
This is political, genocidal action to destroy a people. Does that not matter?
6 predictions for AI on #gamedev
Nr 1: The bubble period will continue to be incredibly damaging to studios above a certain size. AI is part of an already existent trend that goes back a long time.
Reduced cost and scale of development is the issue (not the opposite)..
Gaza is a pile of rubble, with two million people living in tents with no food, water or access to medical treatment.
So Israel launches a ground offensive.
This isn't about hostages anymore, it is about the destruction of Gaza and the genocide of Palestinians, and the world is complicit.
Disney are brilliant with Neurodivergent kids. That is all.

\it's too hot, which means it's picky tea time.
Bring it.
I love working in the games industry.
My favourite part is when I'm on a flight and I can't get any emails, WhatsApps, Zendesks, slacks, discords, FB messages, Twitter& BlueSky DMs or SMS/phonecalls.
Now is one of those times ✈️
I once questioned Liam Gallagher's income and he sarcastically called me a sexy fucker.
I also once told the internet to retweet me, and I'd contribute to Keymailer's Ko-Fi account, because they needed the money. (then a competitor).
I contributed the full £80 to their account.
Might also be worth talking to a couple of commercial people at football clubs. Strong rivalry for a few years on club rights.

Laura Kuenssberg is an awful journalist.
Awful.
So if the Nuclear threat is severely inhibited or 'totally obliterated' why is Benji still attacking Iranian infrastructure?
It's almost as if he was lying, using Iran as a ruse to prolong his time in office.
He'll still be flattening Gaza and anyone else to stay in power in six months.
This former CNN expert on BBC News is very biased.
Basic BBC as normal then
So much for only targeting Iran's supposed Nuclear programme.
Almost as if they're prepping for a ground war.
Don't confuse Iraeli's with the Israel government; the government is doing everything it can to stay in power under a unity agreement. Benji knows he's on the way out
