i stg if as a kid,someone, could have been anyone, had said to me hey that thing you saw online that's freaked you out, let's talk about it and how to avoid it in future bb, that would have been really fucking nice actually

it's a hypothetical that's been used to cause cataclysmic harm to the LGBTQIA+ and sex work community for decades. to suppress, to demonise, to excuse violence on these people & push them into unsafe private lives. who are these mythical children? and why can no one have a conversation with them?

as for keeping children safe i don't know where i land on it but it's likely i really don't care

i am hopeful that this collectively makes us all less weird about sex and sex work and porn and masturbation and the power of sexual expression and maybe just maybe sex workers will start to be seen as people and maybe artists that want to paint tits will not be seen as dangers to society

my vested interest is that now we have places like @bsky.app that require you to submit your ID to look at art too. in 2025 you have to choose between having your short time on earth enhanced by erotica or keeping the one thing in life that is truly yours - your identity. can't have both anymore

so now people don't want to vocally resist the blatant data mining and violation that is submitting all your identifying information inc. your fucking FACE in order to access a site - and they don't want to resist because it's we've been pounded into embarrassment about liking looking at sex stuff

this country's govt depends on it's poor sexual education and societal shame when it brings into force things like the online safety act. it is LUCKY so many of the population don't know they're actually allowed to admit to having sexual interests.
