I think it's pretty important to understand that algorithmically-run platforms have long understood anger and argument drives much more engagement than just showing you stuff you like, and if you find yourself being made to despair at what a platform shows you, that is the system working as intended

I don't know this guy, but many of you do. I did the research - he's facing 15 years for CSAM, some of the victims in the abuse materials were ID'd by NCMEC.

I'm willing to forgive an awful lot, but never child abuse or pedophilia.

Looked into this further, it's legit. Roland "Colbosch" Boshnack, a TTRPG content creator, is facing 5 charges of sexual exploitation of a minor.

Hey board gamers - your feelings an opinions about games are being turned into slop.

There's a channel called Board Game Critique. All their videos are clearly made with AI. They fess up to this, but they claim that they write their own scripts.

I cannot definitively prove that they don't, but 1/x

Too much of the RPG scene glorifies a scrappy grassroots aesthetic to the point it sabotages good design.

Not every game has to be crunchy and meticulously detailed, but it's glorification of vibegaming and repulsion to any inkling of polish has lead to a hobby full of products with no integrity.

I know chicken, this is actually not easy. 🤞

High School pencil drawing

I used to be really interested in representational pencil art. You know the kind of thing I mean - photo realistic drawings of Jennifer Aniston's face or whoever.

Anyway, this was actually high school practice using a good eraser to make the mane.

.. Economically, I need some time to come up with a plan for myself going forward, and reevaluate how I exist in the TTRPG space.

I have two outstanding orders that are still in the pipe-line. I'll deliver them, and that'll be it for the rest of the year.

.. I've been skirting around the issue since my shoulder impingement, but I'm also mentally dragging my feet into commission work now. I'm slower than I used to be, at everything. I'm disassociating hard when I do comms, and it's making me loathe the process I put towards my art in general../
