After Detention, Families Stranded in Border Town Face Harrowing Journey Home Parents and children from a detention center in Texas found themselves dropped at a border town shelter with few means to leave.

Moving immigration abductees far from home as soon as possible is designed to cut them off from family, friends, and community resources. It also means that when people are released, it's into a strange place with no help—and people are rising to meet that need around camps like Dilley.

Because the Republican Party wouldn’t let the incumbent governor have any inter-party opposition. Most primary elections work that way.

Arkansas police officer pulls gun, cuffs driver after automated license plate reader mistakenly flags SUV as stolen. The officer is being sent for additional training - which rather ignores a larger point about the wisdom of outsourcing law enforcement to robots.

DOJ's recent 6th Circuit filing misspelled:

Voters as “Votors”
Emergency as "Emeregency"
United States as "United Staes"

And, it included a non-party in the caption.

Apparently back in the 1970s you put your marriage and health status on your resume?? Or at least the resume my aunt sent me that was my late father’s marks he was married with one child and was in excellent health. So HR many laws broken…

I’ve done the online masters and am now doing an in person PhD (6 hours of driving a week, ugh).

I think it’s the rare school that can pull off an online program well. Even being a part time PhD student I am missing out on the connections ft phds are experiencing with faculty.
