Digimon pulls were pretty epic too, got MetalGreymon from Classic Collection, which is absolutely the card I most wanted. I love these cards that look like the old card game. The adaptation is really cool. MetalGreymon is my fave. Patamon card also looks really nice with this style. Love these!

Pulled a lot of Dragonmaid cards today (don't have photo from first box, but had two Lady's in there which is really cool so now I have 3!) That's two boxes (one I opened previously a while back) where 50% of the slot for the archetype cards were Dragonmaid. The third box had 10, so like 42% there.

Incredibly frustrating cause I like the first of the reboot games but literally no desire to finish the others. I gave Rise 20 hours which is 20 hours more than it deserves tbh

I don't think they killed her off in the comics but more like used it to write her out of showing up in games.

Oh, it's cause the US BD is listed as Multi-format and not just Blu-Ray. Seems there are 2 US BluRays then. I didn't realize that ahaha, I thought they only had UK BluRays.

I haven't seen SCC, outside of the first episode a long time ago, and recently on TV lol, but I have looked on and off through the years to pick up a copy but I don't think we have any good releases in the US? like in US it's just DVD, BluRay is overseas but I don't know, is the HD transfer proper?

I haven't watched SCC, but doesn't play with some multiple timelines as well? It's also a TV series so I expect it to have room to flesh things out and have arcs vs a film that is like, I really don't know, interested in remaking parts of Terminator 1 shot for shot so you go OOO OOO! I REMEMBER!!!

In Genesys it's cause like the past changed, when Kyle is being sent back in time he sees like his parallel version's life, and I think maybe he sees a different date then so when they finish the T1 segment (where Sarah has a time machine) he's like no no trust me lets go to this date.

But yeah, it's weird how it ignores the events of T2 but then is like "LOOK, T-1000 😀!" TBH, the whole T1 section ends with them like, wait we need to go to the future to this date etc etc so they go forward in time past the original Judgment Day date because they managed to avoid that one now. lol

Like, it's not a sequel to Salvation either. It kinda just exists in it's own thing? The movie starts with a voice over from Kyle and he's like Judgment Day happened on August 29th, 1997. If T2 happened, that wouldn't be the date because Skynet would be delayed. T3 had moved it to July 25, 2004.

Oh the going into the unknown ending is much better, thematically and everything. The other one is a definitive ending, but the open ended one both mirrors the original T1 ending but also fits the "we don't know what the future holds but we can shape it."

They completely ignore 2, but then recreate Terminator 1 kinda shot for shot except go, what if the cop who chased Kyle... WAS A T-1000 INSTEAD?!? Also another T-800 came back and took out the original T-800 from Terminator 1. (BTW Terminator 2 didn't happen in the future war time line in this one).

It's funny that we have 3 different sequels to Terminator 2. 😁 Also, Genisys is very weird, it's like a replacement of Terminator 1, because it uses the original Judgment Day date, but before Kyle is sent back in time, he and John look at each other cause they know Kyle has to impregnate John's mom.

And also have answers to them. I don't need to know who created the Alien. But the time travel nonsense in Terminator? I need answers to that lol

Do they need answers? Maybe not. I don't think answer questions about the Alien's origin has been any benefit to anything, and instead removes the othering that made the Alien alien. Kinda like there is no need to answer the ending of the Thing. But Terminator makes me want to asks these questions.

Though of course if in T1 Kyle's future they won so Skynet was sending back the T-800 as its last ditch effort, then what about the T-1000? Maybe Skynet lost but is still around? Or was it a different Skynet than the T1 future one? It just starts adding kinda annoying questions.

My preferred view is that T1 John from the future has a different father, he sends Kyle back in time. John from the present has T1 future Kyle as his father, but he's not the same John. It plays with the changing fate too. It also removes the dumb question of who was the first John's father.

There is too much focus on this never ending cycle and it's just annoying because the whole thing in T2 was "No fate." But a lot of it then like to lean on Kyle is John's father and has to be. I like to think that T1 is the first time this is happening and in T2 it just gets stopped. So no cycles.

Like I said, it's spicy. Like I have issues with every Terminator 3 that happens after, but at least none of those films are Genisys and deleting everything just so Genisys doesn't exist probably not the best idea ahaha. But also I'm a T1 + T2 and that's it person. Then we get too much time travel.

I know Dead Man's Chest is more over the top than Pearl, and it's good fun. Like I don't mind watching it on TV when it's on, but I have also no problem with it not existing lol.

My issue biggest issue with the trilogy is that like, I feel like Sparrow gets flanderized instantly and is just way over the top. Pearl's Sparrow is my favorite, like it's the perfect mixture for me there. After that he's just all zany because that's what everyone liked.

If I wanted to be spicy, I would say same thing for Terminator. Love both 1 and 2, but if sacrificing 2 means getting rid of the rest, I think I would be fine with that because 1 is great on it's own. Of course, easy just to ignore everything after 2. Or just ignore the ones you don't like.
