It has been known. But on this occasion he would also have learnt to raise and lower the lid and press the flush.

As a kitten he once held out for 24 hours because I changed the litter brand.

The only odd thing was that he'd turned on the tap in the bathroom sink while I was out.

But all the websites say if your cat hasn't deposited in 24 hours he might explode or die or something.

Phoned emergency vet and they said he sounds ok. Certainly he's behaving completely normally e.g. revenge swipe for picking him up to check his bladder, screaming for attention while I was on the phone etc.

And now there hasn't been anything in Kit's litter tray for 24 hours. Has someone been feeding us kidney poison?

They also physically lost me, and then they couldn't discharge me for 3 days because their computers couldn't cope with the heat.

I got some diplofenac? But only after they kept me nil by mouth for 12 hours on a 38° day and forgot to put me on a drip. So I was feeling quite rough by that point...

My kidneys are looked at annually, so I know the stones are there. I've only been proper poorly with them a couple of times, and I don't think this is even going to get me time off work.

Paracetamol is dealing with it perfectly well, but even so I could do without it quite nicely.

Been trying to tell myself it's just stomach ache from odd food, but 3 days in and it really isn't
