Yup! If you go to the profile at bsky.app/profile/auto... then go to Lists, there's 10k+/20k+/50k+/100k+, as well as variants that exclude domain verified accounts.

There's also a similar series of "UnverifiedOverXK" lists, if you prefer to exempt accounts that have gone through domain verification.

If anyone has a GitHub account, please consider checking out github.com/bluesky-soci... and giving it a thumbs up. It's definitely a problem that users can't easily override a modlist with their preferences.

Hi, everyone! Due to circumstances entirely within my control (moving), the server on which the maintenance bot for the modlists on this account run has been down for over a month. That means removals and additions were not processed.

The bot is up and back running, and if you should be removed

Their following numbers (under 2400) are lower than any threshold I have for a list, currently.

A user with an account on an unverified list contacted me (because they were domain verified) which led to a bugfix in removing domain verified accounts from the unverified lists. Please feel free to DM if you are incorrectly on a list, bugs happen and I want to get them fixed.

No need to be sorry at all. I checked and the code for removing accounts from the unverified lists had a logic bug that was keeping you on it. I've corrected the bug (hopefully) and restarted the bot, you should be removed in 60 minutes or so.

You’re not missing anything, that’s a useful use-case. The way the Bluesky client works, however, makes it hard for normie users. You can’t resolve their profile in the client and can’t add to your modlist.

I’ve never created a labeler, but I wonder if some people would find labels (“follows over Xk”) more palatable than a modlist for muting or blocking.

There might be another moderation list maintenance tool that would help, but I haven't been able to find it if so.
I'm sorry for your troubles! You might see about raising an issue at github.com/bluesky-soci... for "add account to modlist while being blocked by the account" or similar. Best of luck!

I could probably add that as a command-line option to the bot/tool I maintain for this account, but it isn't the easiest thing to get running if you aren't a Ruby developer.

Oh, I see what's happening, I think. When you try to add a user to a modlist from the web, it tries to redirect you to the account page, to add to a modlist from there. That's annoying.

Nope, I don't think so. You wouldn't be able to resolve their profile, but no reason you can't add them to your modlist. I add accounts that have blocked this account to modlists all the time.

That's weird. I see you were able to add this account, I would expect you should be able to add any account to your modlist.

This should drastically improve how quickly folks are removed from lists, however there is still a profile cache of 1 hour, so automatic list removal is expected about 2 hours after falling below a threshold.

I have removed the following lists: MagaWords, HateWords, PornWords. As an experiment they were a failure, with a ton of false positives and an extremely low hit rate.

As well, I have modified the bot to - every 5 minutes - rescan all list members if otherwise idle.

Yeah, I need to go delete those keyword-based lists, frankly. Too many people who are against something, feel the need to put that explicitly in their description, which breaks simple keyword matching.

It is, as they say, a failed experiment.

I created the Unverified lists at the request of someone, but truly I think most people follow the Over lists and don’t use the (very slightly smaller) UnverifiedOver lists. Domain verification is great! I just don’t think it’s worthwhile for the lists I host.

Moderation lists are used to mute or block a list of accounts. I don’t think you’d find the lists hosted by this account to be something you would wish to remove from your feed, though.

It’s such a terrible list and doesn’t catch any serious percentage of porn accounts, I wouldn’t recommend it

The keyword lists suck a lot and I should just nuke them. On the plus side none of them has even 100 accounts on it (as opposed to Over5K which has well over 30,000, now)

Also I don’t think many people use the Unverified modlist. I created it due to a singular request, and I’ve doubts more than 3 people use it.

Hi! I don't authorize myself to block anyone. I create moderation lists that myself (and others) can choose to use, if they want to. Some people (including myself) prefer to not interact with accounts that follow a lot of accounts.

Please remember all modlist use is voluntary and intentional.

Yes indeed. Making no particular judgements in your case (I haven't scanned your account), actual humans who follow a lot of accounts can themselves be annoying/unpleasant to interact with. The 5K list is the lowest threshold and is the least frequently used,
