Of course, the main problem with the Corporation is that news thinks it's the reason the BBC exists. It isn't. In the formative years of the Corporation, news was a part of it, but it wasn't the main event. The BBC's reputation was only partially made by news. The other stuff matters more.

I'm so upset about this. A Squeeze gig at The Venue (the Play Tour) Glenn invited me on stage - and handed me his guitar... I said I played drums... Both Glenn & I looked at G, and he just looked - I got the message! I came down from the stage, and subsequently lost my glasses! God Bless him 💔
