Maybe I would think it was murder if the other driver hadn’t died as well, but no one, not even the dog, made it out of that.

I’ve been thinking about this distinction for awhile. My best friend was killed (along with his wife) by an intoxicated driver going the wrong way down the interstate. I don’t think they were murdered, but I always say that they were killed in an accident rather than they died in an accident.
