Yes! I’d already thought of that one as a potential painting…
Now I’m definitely going to give it a try.
Thank you for inspiring it!

87 little drawings of albums and singles by the Fall.
I’ve followed up my mini drawings of all the Fall’s albums with all of their singles.
Here are all of the drawings, and a combined grid of both sets, singles with albums:
Thank you so much!

I’m enjoying doing this Rentaghost painting.
Can I finish it today?

Today I heard ‘Hancock’s Hair’ which is now my favourite series 3 episode so far.
Hancock himself is brilliant - deluded and gullible but still sympathetic.
More gleeful re-writing of the characters’ histories too.
‘New Year Resolutions’ is another good one for Eldon and McNally. With episodes like this and the visit to Russia, you can hear the way Galton and Simpson’s experience of the real Hancock must have inspired the behaviour of his fictional self.

‘The Trial of Father Christmas’ is interesting, starting as one of the episodes with everyone playing different roles - but there’s a satisfying twist.
These episodes are the remakes that make me most miss the original cast, but Kevin Eldon is particularly good in this one.
Today I listened to the remake of ‘A Visit to Russia’.
Like the end of series 1 and the visit to Swansea, the writers are playful with the idea of the fictional cast being the stars of a show called Hancock’s Half Hour - but here it’s one that only bears a vague resemblance to the actual show.
A map of the eastern part of Cheam where I was earlier today.
I drove through (east) Cheam this afternoon which reminded me to listen to another HHH.
‘The Diet’ is awful sound quality but I adjusted to it after a little while.
A very silly episode with a particularly unlikely set up… I enjoyed it a lot. The Sid James scenes were my highlights this time.

Here’s a painting I’ve been working on this afternoon.
A lovely old dried up potato!
I’m tempted to continue with some non-album singles, EPs and live albums, but where to draw the line..?

I’ve just been making progress on my Rentaghost painting…
I think I’m starting to get somewhere interesting now!
A 6 by 6 grid of drawings of Fall records.
Last week I decided to listen to all the Fall studio albums in order, and draw any I hadn’t already drawn.
Including ‘Slates’ that took me to 32 pics… Not enough to make a satisfying square grid.
Which other releases to complete the grid? I went for some of the part live/part studio albums.
I think this is finished!
My painting is based on one of the last photos taken of Lennon and McCartney together.
My painting of John, Paul, May, Linda and Harry is getting closer to being finished…

The 60th edition of The Year of Listing Dangerously goes In Remembrance of Squat Thrusts Past, explores the late blossoming of the sitcom punk, looks down on Ken and Deirdre's legendary bust-up and asks: where were Leslie Phillips's socks when the lights went out?
