A hard hit double by Bo Bichette and two wild pitches later, the Mets lead Nicaragua 3-2 through five.

Craig Kimbrel allowed three hits (one double) and one earned run while striking out one in the top of the fourth, but only one ball was hit hard off him.

Bo Bichette made a throwing error. I doubt SNY's social media team will show footage of that.

Marcus Semien scored another run in the bottom of the third. He walked, got to second on a Bo Bichette walk, then scored on a Francisco Alvarez single to left. 2-1 Mets after three.

Jonah Tong lasted two and two thirds innings (54 pitches). He allowed one earned run on five hits, walked nobody and struck out three. He was dealing with a wet mound and was working on his slider a lot, not to make excuses or anything.

Marcus Semien doubled, went to third on a Jorge Polanco ground out, then scored on a Bo Bichette sac fly. 1-0 Mets after one.

Jonah Tong threw a 1-2-3 top of the first against Nicaragua. 18 pitches, all either a fastball or slider.

Nolan McLean experienced vertigo-like symptoms on Friday night, so he stayed in Port St Lucie rather than reporting to Team USA according to Carlos Mendoza. The symptoms are now gone and he’ll pitch in a back field tomorrow to see if he is good to go for the WBC.

Ken Rosenthal wrote that "no serious discussions" have taken place between the Mets and Freddy Peralta regarding a contract extension, but added "not to worry" and seemed to indicate it'll probably happen eventually.
