I am mildly surprised to discover I have opinions about sweet vermouth. My two current favourites are Carpano Antica Formula Vermouth and Vermut Lacuesta (I know, not even Itialian). Not a fan of the much more widely available Vermut Lustau, though.

So the question is: what others should I try?

Even more so if you buy them in 500g lots (which I do for the spices I use most frequently).

I'm not sure VPNs are less of a target for surveillance than ISPs. In fact, I'd guess they're a more interesting target.

Boohoo - 3 are merging with Vodafone. My interactions with Vodafone have been mostly shit, with 3, mostly okish. Somehow I doubt the merger will be an improvement.

Having recently made nasturtium and macadamia pesto followed by rocket, spinach, watercress and walnut pesto, both of which were delicious, I have concluded that any green thing (except basil) plus any nut will make a great pesto.

Kitchen Aid - good choice.

There's a long section of the A449 that has had a "temporary" 50 mph limit on it for months. There is absolutely no apparent reason for it.

Interestingly, it is universally ignored, which is not at all the norm.

I find this intriguing.

There is no doubt in my mind that in person is better for some things than online. Do you not agree with that?

It is yummy on buttery sourdough toast.

It is more earthy than peppery. In fact I'd struggle to taste any pepperiness.

Vermut Lacuesta is also pretty good though no doubt using it in a negroni is some kind of sin.
