Migraines meds and a decent serving of protein later and I am feeling significantly better 🙃

New medication really decreases my appetite which means I forgot to eat dinner last night and then skipped lunch today and couldn't figure out why I felt awful and dizzy and was getting a migraine. Might have to set alarms reminding me to eat regularly? Ugh

Can anyone tell me what the state of things is with Starbucks in Australia? I know our labour laws are (generally) better, but unclear if being an international company means Starbucks is similarly exploiting workers here. Should I be avoiding Starbucks Down Under?

I live in a very inner city area, and there is a whole BUSH TURKEY wandering our street. My indoor cat is losing her mind.

My friend has a 4 year old, a 3 year old, and has just had twins two months ago! Me and my 2 year old have been spending a lot of time with them, both to help out and because my toddler loves babies 😄 I am in awe of twin mums!

Had a massive cooking fail today when attempting a new recipe for zucchini slice. It somehow ended up both crunchy and liquid at the same time? Do not recommend.

Life has been a bit hectic - my husband thought he had a flu, but it is actually strep throat. This year has just been one health thing after another. I am grateful they are mostly mild and resolve quickly, it is just so relentless to be always sick or recovering or caring for someone who is sick.

Our community is very much in the everyone is invited and welcomed situation, BUT it is totally acceptable for only one parent to come with the kids or stay for the whole time.

When we made our toddler's car seat forward facing, we didn't process that she could now reach the handle on the car door and open it. She demonstrated this new skill while at full speed on the highway, an hour into a ten hour drive 😬 we quickly learnt to use the child lock. Funny in hindsight!

I regret to inform you that actual babies I taught in Sunday School are now getting married and having babies of their own, and I am officially old.

At one point earlier in the year my toddler had an emotional support umbrella, that she carried and cradled like a baby, including putting it to bed each night 😄

Gingerbread lattes are the only drink I like from Starbucks, so I go a bit overboard for the six weeks of the year it is available here 😄

Honestly, herding cats is easier. And I say that as the owner of two cats 😄

My two year old has selective hearing and is also easily distracted 😄 getting downstairs from her room to the front door WITH shoes, hat and sunscreen feels like a marathon most mornings

My toddler put her toys to bed and is now reading them a bedtime story and I have to say, I am loving this new era of independent adorable pretend play
