He started between the curtains, but now he’s peeking his head in, and even jumping into the tub, but still under the inner curtain. This morning, he stuck his tail out, and it got soaked, and he didn’t care at all.

I haven’t posted about Poboy in a bit. Just hit two months together. He is the sweetest, cutest, funniest dude in the world. He’s discovered the shower. Curious what I’m doing in there. He doesn’t seem to mind getting wet. I might have a shower cat.

Yikes… The event that inspired this post is a critical mass bike ride… Maybe I should give in and just ride around my hood? I’m not usually a very ‘woo’ person, but it feels like I’m catching signs I shouldn’t ignore…

Being annoyed is the price of community, but I just wish it didn’t get exponentially more annoying as the event approached.

Exactly. It’s so frustrating. People don’t realize often times calling someone resilient is ignoring their crisis, and absolving themselves of any duty to help. In a sense, it’s like saying being desperate, on your own, and helpless is the natural order of things, but packaged as a feel-good story.

I deal with all the mail and shipping at the firm, so I know USPS and FedEx envelopes are free. And if I was paying for the labor of picking and packing, I honestly would’ve rather that just been included in the price. This felt bait-and-switchy.

I *LOVE* paying $7.50 for shipping, and seeing on the package when it arrives that postage was $2.44. Entire economy is a series of scams.

Color matched cable ends are the simplest/cheapest way to really make a bike shine. I love the little details.

Incorporating AI into customer service is such a massive leap in the absolute misery of dealing with customer service. They’ve really outdone themselves.

The thing I miss the most is how quiet it was. Really made it feel more personal somehow.

We got a foot of snow here a year ago in January. NYC just got a bunch of snow, and my friends posting pics up there makes me miss that feeling of magic we got when it happened here. But I also realize that magic’ll never hit the same way it did that Jan.

Rode the MG bike down to @sprtsdrnk.bsky.social today, and then just around for a bit. I can’t shut the hell up about how much of a joy it is to ride. I love that it’s a sleeper… It looks like a toy, but it’s a legit weapon. It just might be my new daily driver.
