Boat in sunset, Åstjønna If you cannot find a subject in your picture, bring your own 🤩 To get to this spot to take pictures of the sunset, you have two options; to take a hike around the lake or to use a boat to take the direct route. Since I do own a boat, I took the shortest way and brought my own subject to the sunset.

To reach this spot, I took the shortcut across the lake with my boat and placed myself right into the frame. Shot with my Canon R6 and EF 16-35mm, I wanted to capture the golden hour just the way I imagined it

The good thing with some rain and a sunset afterwards, is all the beautifull colors. Hansbakkfjæra, Ranheim Hansbakkfjæra, located on the coast of Ranheim just outside Trondheim, is today a serene spot for walking, swimming, and taking in the coastal light. But not long ago, this was a place of industry — home to the Ranheim paper mill, where timber arrived by sea and was transformed into paper that fueled a growing nation. The echoes of that era still linger in the landscape, blending with the salty air and shifting tides.

Nordlys i Skjelstadmark mars 2025 Chasing the Northern Lights – and finding the perfect foreground That evening, alerts from aurora apps started coming in, and my son called: "Dad, have you seen the northern lights? You need to get out and shoot!" I had plenty of photos to edit already, but a few more couldn’t hurt. Rather than just capturing the sky, I wanted to include a strong foreground – something to anchor the magic. I ended up visiting three locations around Stjørdal: Korstad in Skjelstadmark, and two spots near Banggrenda. Tripod in hand and wide-angle lens (16–35mm) mounted, I headed out. Do I regret it? Not for a second. 😎
