Totally agree! I usually try to work on smaller art stuff that fits with the little time and energy I have. So at least I'm doing something!

It's ironic how my craving to make art is at its peak when I'm particularly low on time and energy 😂 And how my motivation tanks once there's suddenly more time… because then my body happily chooses rest over art

I'm currently working on a larger drawing (which is stressful in itself) but I'm also upset because I feel like, at first glance, it looks like something AI might churn out and I hate how this is making me doubt my own style 😩

I'd absolutely love a Howl's Moving Castle setup. Where it's the same home but the door opens to all kinds of places!

I hope it'll work out eventually! Suburbs here can be so different. I'd say, some are similar to the ones in the US while others are just small villages that grew into suburbs and have decent public transport and supermarkets.

Yeah, being a freelancer and working from home adds a whole extra level of having no real reason to go outside!

I also really enjoyed city life because of the short walking distances! Going outside didn't feel as much like a whole committment

When I used to live in the city, I really liked how going out to eat and just sitting there with a book was an option!

I wonder if anyone else is a total homebody and is happy to stay home for weeks at a time. Living in the suburbs doesn't help. I don't drive and public transport keeps getting more and more expensive, so going anywhere has become a tough sell 😅

I always thought I was weird for having zero unfinished art and sketchbooks so structured, people get upset I call them that. Turns out, rather than some crazy discipline or perfectionism, it's autism and my brain just loves consistency and structure. That's what keeps me grounded 🤷
