Dumb, of course, but that's how these things usually go.

There was a video game, 007 Legends, that basically said that everything from Dr. No through Die Another Die happened in between the end of Quantum of Solace and the beginning of Skyfall.

I don't subscribe to the dumb "James Bond is a Codename" nonsense either. Each actor represents a different era of the same character. This isn't the MCU. Shit from previous films doesn't need to be explained or retconned.

I can't believe there's an entire article about writers ripping their hair out because Bond, played by a different actor, died in the last movie. The movie where he died even still ended with the "James Bond Will Return" card that they always end with.

What if, and now hear me out, the next movie just starts with James Bond on a mission and they never explain why he's still alive because the character has been alive and roughly the same age for over 50 years. His death was a great coda to Craig's era. It doesn't need to be explained away.
