Otomo feels like someone who is the exact antithesis of Toths philosophy; pure hyper-maximimalism over stripped-down gestural brevity.
I can't help but wonder what Toth thought of Akira.

also the handling of many societal issues with a focus on the drug crisis was pretty great, nowhere near as much of a problem in japan as it is in the americas but linking capital to drug epidemics is like genuinely so fucking smart. extremely well planned and written show despite its problems

first completed rider show and i fucking loved it. the tone shifts could be a bit jarring and wakana hime's arc might be the single thing that holds this show back from being truly great but the dynamic with the detective team and umineko tragedy billionaire family was fantastic.

they really refined the action gameplay after the REmakes true... got no idea abt the story and how it all comes together but its strength might be that every re fan will probably have something they really enjoy since it has both gameplay styles

not sure if its more my algo but its the pattern ive seen develop. sumn abt the new resis that make for a really awesome first time experience but isnt as given to replayability and staying in ppls minds like 1-4 and maybe 5

feel like re9 might end up getting the same treatment as re7 and 8 where theyre super well received at first and everyone gets hyped as fuck but a year or so later ppl will be like "eh it was alright"

as a whole it probably sucks ass to be a kid growing up in modern times.
-tv channels practically don't exist anymore
-a shit ton of stuff for children is spread out across 8 different streaming services that they can't pay for
-stuff like cards or figures are being scalped by 40 y/o nerds
