It has seemed the front office has lost confidence in Matos. I'm not hopeful they'll get anything for him either. Maybe they can pass him through waivers to Triple-A if they're lucky. The best thing for him would be a new start somewhere else.

I think ownership is stuck in this loop. They don't want to dump a bunch more money in the team because they're not convinced they can win. But, if they don't invest more money then they probably won't be competitive.

Good point. The team seems to have been ambiguous about Jayce Tingler and Frank Anderson. Is the trouble nailing down roles that Tingler wants associate manager title and pay? Is Anderson going to be more of a director of pitching? Is his role one they're nailing down?
