I do think that because of all the damage she will probably be a write off. Which is probably just as well? I would never get the glitter out. And I really love that she is going out in a blaze of bedazzled, pink, glittery and sequined glory 🤣

Apparently there is pink glitter and sequins and I have no idea what all over my car. I am desperate to try to get some photos and see what happened to her. I had been hoping she was off doing exciting things but I was not expecting this.

Me, no chill: “WHATTTTTT? NO! WHAT? SHE BEDAZZLED MY CAR?!” I mean, what can you do but laugh, really, and both me and the cop were crying laughing. She said “we thought you might have been the most girly person ever!” 🤣

Have a pink water bottle, so that’s good, they can hopefully get some DNA from that. Then the cop hesitates and tentatively asks another question. “So, um, did you bedazzle your steering wheel and gear stick?”

And they do call. At 5pm tonight I get a call from them and they have a couple of questions for me. They are trying to find out if some things they found in the car belong to me or to the person who stole it. I don’t keep much in there, so chances are low that it’s mine and I definitely don’t…

They tow the car off to get forensic analysis done and all that and they let me know that the crime scene investigator team will be in touch when she’s ready. (I promise this is worth the wait. Just wait. Wild)

Then last night I got a call from the police: my car has been found and they arrested someone. But she was as in a multi car crash and damaged both sides of the front of the car. I think she hit someone and then drove into oncoming traffic and hit the other side too.

Called insurance the next day and got that process moving too. If it doesn’t turn up in two weeks of making a claim, it gets declared missing and insurance pays me out. I start looking at second hand cars just in case because I definitely don’t think it’s going to turn up after being gone so long.

Went back to where I parked and…no sign of my car. We walked around in case I parked in a different spot but definitely not there. Apparently I am calm under pressure, because I didn’t panic, just got a taxi back to mum’s and made a police report.

Parked my car near the station, and almost exactly across the road from the restaurant (though the road curves so it wasn’t in view of where we sat). Dinner was lovely. Met some incredible contacts and had a blast.

Which isn’t far, but I don’t know the area well or the public transport situation, it was easiest to drive. I half thought I might drive back to Ballarat after, but left all my bags and stuff at mum’s when I went to eat.

So a few weeks ago I took a day of carers leave to drive my mum to some specialist appointments. Long story short, we ended up just getting a cab there, but since I had my car in Melbourne with me, I drove myself to a dinner with some fellow clients of my career coach. It was in Brighton.

I will tell you about one thing that has been going on over the last couple of weeks. It’s a bit of a wild ride.

Oh hi. It’s been awhile. It’s been a year, too. I’m so tired. Feels like it’s been non-stop hits lately. I need to sleep for a month and float in a sensory tank for like 3 weeks before I might start feeling vaguely human again. I won’t complain about all the crap that’s been happening but…

I do not know how I have achieved this but I have slept with three guys that have the same birthday and zero guys that have a tattoo. This is getting ridiculous.

In my “fuck it” era at work and put up an incredibly passive aggressive post talking about a big industry award I was nominated for that did not get recognition internally at ALL. fuck that shit.

Staying at a cottage for a sewing getaway and we have the cutest visitors ever. Look at those hops. I am dead.

I believe in your powers of manifestation here!

Have just seen the most aggressively Queensland mullet of my life and I suspect it may be the most Queensland like mullet in existence, tbh. Incredible.

Hour long gossip and chat with my bestie at midnight via phone. Will be tired tomorrow but it’s ohh so worth it.

It is really nice being able to see the wide impact on the bank that I’ve made though. I’m really proud of what I’ve achieved here.

Confirmed that I finish up next year, so heaps of time to save and plan. We told the team today and the GM made me cry by saying what a huge impact I’ve made on the business…and since we’re a bank, and not a tiny one, that’s saying quite a bit. 😭

Also I have now officially read 50% of the list! Huzzah.

Now onto To Kill A Mockingbird, which I somehow escaped at school, and then Alice in Wonderland, which I think I have actually read, but can’t quite remember. I did see the original plate for the mouse’s tail page when I was in Oxford once though! OUP published the first edition as a vanity print.

His Dark Materials done. The list was unclear if it was the first book or the whole trilogy, so I read them all just in case. Loved all the bits in Oxford, as I’ve spent so much time there. At one point, the characters went to the bank opposite my sister’s old house.
