He’s my favorite player on the team now that Son is gone. Very unique style and as I said just absolutely runs himself into the ground for the team

No idea what Madders will look like when he gets back but he has the potential to be the best player on the squad

Solanke is going to bring better pressing, better build up, and better finishing at the 9.
Kulu when healthy is the most physically dominant player on the squad. Dude is out there relentlessly battling on both sides of the ball the entire game. Also just elite 1v1 dribbling

Yeah, it’s nearly a 180 from last season and the team definitely feels boring at times, which is honestly a bit welcome after Ange. I’m confident we will figure it out because even without Kulu, Madders, and Solanke we have a lot of quality attacking depth

Anxious to see what this team looks like once they are moderately healthy. Romero keeps going down and I think Solanke and Kulu will take things to another level

Don’t know the exact math but his total salary hit is only around $500k (salary and transfer fee). So the club saves some GAM putting the U22 label on him but they could definitely open the tag up if they had someone else to use it on that would save them more

Beshear: Let me be clear. The president has both the funding and the authority to fund snap during a shutdown. In fact, every other president in every other shutdown has done so. People going hungry in this instance is a choice that this president has made.

No problem. These end of season roster profiles the league put out aren’t helpful for knowing what everyone’s status is going to be for next season

Klauss is a TAM player next season and Burki was just signed to a DP contract. 2 DPs are Burki and Hartel.

Durkin’s U22 status has expired. Current U22s are Sangbin, Fall, and JGR (on loan and can be bought down)

The timing of this write up does not feel like a coincidence. He’s definitely looking to land an MLS job and I’d assume CITY would be towards the top of the list and likely the top with Wray on board

Aussie’s big MLS prediction after marking Giroud, Watkins in whirlwind 18 months After 18 months in the MLS, Jake Girdwood-Reich has settled back into the A-League like he never left. His Auckland FC side sit top of the table after three matches, conceding just one goal, with…

Jake Girdwood-Reich, who still occupies a U22 slot for #AllForCITY recently talked with Football360. It appears he’s getting on quite well back in the A League. Could City recall him before January?

The thing that still gets me: one interview or one short press conference the week after the season ended could have cleared all of this up. Just very obvious some communication was needed given the circumstances

Who is Laurent Courtois? - The Football Week CF MontrΓ©al head coach Laurent Courtois shares his journey from Lyon to MLS, shaping a modern coaching philosophy rooted in identity and player growth.

Just googled Laurent Courtois and found this article from a week ago. Sure seems like a guy who is doing PR for an MLS job. Also feels like this article is written to pitch him for the CITY job based off the details highlighted

How many days has it been since we’ve heard from our shadow sporting director Diego?

If they don’t announce a sporting director by early next week I’m gonna be officially very concerned

Haven’t done the math, but if you take DP salaries out of the equation, CITY is a lot higher in the salary spend rankings.
Allowing teams that aren’t going to sign super expensive star players the ability to build talented, deep rosters is going to improve the product a lot

29.10.2025 19:52 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

I’d like teams to get more flexibility with DP slots, especially if budgets are increased. If the changes you’re proposing are made, CITY could have 0 DPs and I think they should get some amount of TAM for each slot they don’t use.
Gives smaller market teams flexibility to build competitive rosters

Any news on practice this week or any end of season presser? Not hearing from Diego for so long is making nervous haha

If they don’t extend him, it will be nice to have space to add a TAM player at a spot of need over the summer

29.10.2025 15:29 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Yeah, he’s a good second striker, but he can’t really play anything else effectively and Hartel was cooking at the 10 at the end of the season.
Maybe they figure something out if Cedi is in form and you can’t keep him off the field. Otherwise it’s way too much salary to have as a late game sub

29.10.2025 15:25 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 3    πŸ“Œ 0

No doubt he had bad luck with injuries and timing but there’s two big problems 1) he can only play one position (the 10) at a starter level, which means displacing Hartel 2) he makes way too much money to not be a starter
I don’t think he fits in the roster but hard to move him I’d guess

CITY are missing Orozco in this one. Surprised to not seen him on the roster, but I guess he is prioritizing the first team

Introducing Five Asides... with a MLS playoff preview! This will cover far more terrain in time. But until then: I'm back!

After years of playing nearly all games on Saturday evenings, MLS spends its first such day of the 2025 postseason with a universal day of rest. And Round 2? It's still 28 days away.

The playoff format stifles momentum and excitement. I wrote about it here: jeffrueter.substack.com/p/introducin...

One benefit of #AllForCITY playing poorly is we haven’t had Twellman covering our games. Listening to him talk constantly during this Miami and Nashville game is brutal

23.10.2025 18:22 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Yep. This is why they needed to get a sporting director in place before any of these decisions needed to be made. No one is taking responsibility and seems like they’re saying that they’re still following the plan Lutz had in place - why fire him if you’re going to do that??
