Prime Minister Netanyahu reportedly stated that this operation could be stopped at anytime if Hamas agrees to Israel's conditions. These conditions include Hamas laying down its weapons and releasing all 50 of the hostages who continue to be held by terrorists in Gaza.

By October 7, 2025 (roughly two months from now), all civilians would be required to evacuate to other parts of Gaza, where humanitarian aid will be expanded. At that point, the IDF would enter Gaza City to defeat the Hamas terrorists who remain there.
