Last week, Gallup polled only 36% of Democrats are “extremely or very proud” to be American.

In the greatest country in the world, that’s just wrong.

I’m unapologetically grateful for our nation and the American Way of Life—today, and always.

I swore an oath to protect and defend the Constitution, and I believe the effort to end birthright citizenship will ultimately fail—as it should.

I’ve made clear I’m strongly against any bill that cuts Medicaid, a stance even some of my Republican colleagues agree with.

These civil rights leaders understand why we must protect it and other programs like SNAP—and I reiterated my commitment to doing so.

I’ve always maintained my strong support of @ppfa.org + every single woman fighting for their reproductive freedom and basic health care. That’s not changing. 💯

I’ve had many conversations with Pennsylvanians about Medicaid—a program that I’m committed to protecting for the millions of lives that rely on it.

One of those conversations was with a kind little boy from Tioga County named Ian. His mother Jodi shared their story with me.

Senator McCormick and I had the absolute pleasure of celebrating PA’s Congressional Award Gold Medalists for their hundreds of hours of voluntary public service, personal development, and more.

Because of pre-birth surgery he received to correct Spina Bifida at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia thanks to NIH research, he’s with us here today + enjoying the office and his new gavel.

We’ve got to keep investing in any opportunity to save lives.

In the next year, Philly will host major international events like the World Cup and our nation’s 250th birthday.

It doesn’t sound like FAA has a sufficient plan to handle the travel volume—yet. I’m committed to working with officials to make sure we get there.

Spending time this 81st Anniversary of D-Day to reflect on all who fought for the survival of liberty and freedom against tyranny and oppression.

Through service and sacrifice, those brave men and women created lasting legacies that we must honor—not just today, but always.

Nearly 300k Pennsylvanians would lose Medicaid coverage.

Pennsylvania families would see a rise in energy costs up to $1200.

Domestic manufacturing tax credits would be rolled back and the U.S. would lose $50 billion.

And now this massive deficit added. Once again, I am a NO.

While we celebrate Memorial Day today, I hope we continue to remember our freedom is never free, honor our fallen heroes and their loved ones, and keep their legacies alive.

We are a safer and stronger country thanks to their service, and we should never forget it. 🇺🇸

I’ll never understand cutting programs that help small farms and keep communities fed—but I do appreciate agency officials recognizing there are opportunities forward.

That’s why I’ll strenuously vote against this.
