CAGO#27. I find this image of a deceased Canada Goose mournfully moving. The area where I found it has been hit with avian flu & this poor fella was most likely a victim of it. The arch of the neck & the layer of frost draws me to this tragic, sorrowful & yet graceful cycle of life image. #birds

A real first for me. Short-eared Owls (Asio flammeus) in broad daylight! Usually I’m shooting with an ISO in the thousands at dusk with these special birds. This was at ISO 250 with a shutter speed of 1/2500. Such fantastic detail. State Game Land 214, Crawford County, Pennsylvania. #birds 🪶
