ICE’s Inadequate Recordkeeping on Treatment of Detained Asylum Seekers Threatens Their Lives

ICE’s failure to properly supervise these facilities, meet even minimum standards, or enforce compliance with recordkeeping fosters impunity and makes it more difficult to challenge these dire and sometimes deadly conditions.

Immigration detention facilities are notorious for rampant medical neglect, unsafe and inedible food, vermin infestations, and the denial of basic necessities, such as clothing and hygiene products.

Also, with such a massive and sudden “process” of mass deportation, these PEOPLE are going to be subject to inhumane conditions in detention facilities.

This literally means babies will be born stateless and will be subject to immediate deportation.

If implemented, this change would radically restrict the population of people who are eligible to work in the U.S. legally.
He’s also trying to go against our CONSITUTION and remove birthright citizenship.

He’s also Instructed the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to “ensure” that work permits are not given to people without other legal status—even if they have a pending immigration application.

This is despite the guarantee, in Section 208 of the Immigration and Nationality Act, that people physically present in the United States may seek asylum if they fear harm upon return

The fundamental promise of asylum—that someone fleeing danger can present themselves to U.S. officials to seek safety—remained intact in one form or another since 1980. With these executive actions, asylum, is dead.

He’s rounding up people that were here in legitimate ways previously and MAKING them “illegal”, or creating new laws that are setting them up to become criminals by not registering (if they don’t have proper documentation to do so for example).

The US has closed the door to Refugees, Asylum Seekers, and Migrants entering the USA. We’re literally a country of immigrants.
Trump has literally "sold" mass deportation to the public as “we’re going to get rid of the criminals”, however these policies are NOT focusing on that.

Therefore, this mass deportation effort and the executive orders have in essence revoked protections for immigrants who are legally recognized by the government and has made them subject to deportation.

A lot of immigrants are here legally right now through programs that were until recently in place (Asylum seekers, refugees, parole, TPS (Temporary Protected Status).

I read through a few articles online & tried to summarize it more simply, but want to ensure I didn't misunderstand anything also.

Does this all look accurate? It's hard to believe this is possibly real.
