Movie marathons, you have always been there for me in my times of need 😭

I just got my appendix out and it sucks. I can't move without pain currently (it'll get better) and working on projects while on pain killers is not a thing, so time for a movie marathon.

Another thing about AI is that it's massively expensive. People get really hung up on this "click of a button" shit as if that's the start and end. All of our electric bills are going to be higher. The planet can't take it but we're forcing it anyway. AI photographers cost more to hire than me.

I am shocked to discover I don't like found footage horror that much. I will continue to watch them all, but I find the format pretty mid. A startling self-revelation after watching many of them over decades. This doesn't apply to audio horror, where found footage style is usually great.

Valkyrie's entire arc then becomes about men "teaching" her to be a "normal woman." In the og run on Defenders, there are multiple times in which male characters grab Valkyrie by her shoulders and force a kiss on her. She goes from "up against the wall!" to...that. Opposite of a glow-up.

Besides, they're funny! It's hilarious and amazing that Valkyrie appears in more than one Marvel comic shouting "up against the wall, male chauvinist pigs!" Sure it's a gag, but it's so unlikely we'll ever see her do anything that righteous ever again.

Obviously there are IRL examples of misandrist lesbians, but it's not like people sit down and read the SCUM Manifesto and THEN decide all lesbians are "manhaters." Imho it's a societal fear of lesbians as being inherently threatening to a status quo much more than it's about lesbians.

I like to discuss the misandrist lesbians of fiction because I mean, those characters are by and about straight people. That's a manifestation of straight anxiety, it has nothing to do with lesbians. You didn't talk to a lesbian and then write Man-Killer, you pulled that out of your own brain.
