5/6 A petition will be released by Albanian & EU NGOs soon calling for the reinstatement of the original, much stronger legislation protecting the Vjosa-Narta Protected Area and all protected areas in Albania, thus the reason I'm hoping to broadcast this issue as widely as possible.

4/6 I traveled there and wrote my piece hoping, however naively, to help change the course of things, but it hasn't done much to increase awareness, beyond my kind and supportive family and friends. I shared the piece here & it was hardly noticed.

3/6 ...yet the airport's construction continues and Kushner's plans remain unchallenged. Being there, on the delta, is joy-sparking and awe-inspiring--the birdlife and the beauty are incredible--and it is absolutely devastating knowing what is in store for the area and its creatures.
