An australian labradoodle puppy sleeps on the sofa on top of a blanket over the author's legs, with the side of an iPad screen with a story on it next to her.
The best writing position, IMO.

Productivity has fallen to near zero this week due to new puppy, but the household cuteness level has risen by 1000%. #australianlabradoodle #puppy

I'm excited to have taken a bit of a leap with my picture book writing journey and applied to the @pbrisingstars.bsky.social mentorship program! Even if I'm not chosen, it was a great experience to reflect and think about the sort of stories I want to put out into the world.

My writing group met about one year ago (next week) and so we did a little secret pal book exchange. I feel so fortunate to have found this talented, kind, hard-working group of writers!! π₯°

An array of books lay on carpet.
