There is no need to trip all over yourself and galaxy brain a statement like this. Just say war is bad, what Trump is doing is illegal, and that he’s a liar when he said he wouldn’t get the US into any wars. It’s really not hard but democrats love to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

This is a process argument not a moral one.

Process arguments are not moral values statements. If the opposition party’s only argument against going to war with Iran is a critique of *how* it was done, not a moral statement that it SHOULDN’T HAVE BEEN DONE AT ALL; this is why people think we’re feckless.

War is now tradable before it happens. And the people with insider information, profit off it, as humans die. In fact, it's not beyond possible that the betting themselves influenced this outcome, reversing the cause and effect.

Polymarket launched “US/Israel strikes Iran by…?” on Jan 8, 2026. Total trading volume: $19.8 million. Just before the operation, March 1 carried an implied probability of ~92%.

By this morning, traders priced Feb. 28 as essentially certain.

Just 16 days ago, two Israelis were charged with using classified military information to place bets on betting markets like Polymarket. According to the AP, Israel’s public broadcaster Kan had reported that the bets were placed in June ahead of Israel’s attack on Iran. Winnings were roughly $150K.

I’d like a moratorium on claiming anything is a distraction from anything else. I mean. It may be. Either in purpose or impact, a distraction. But we don’t need to triage these horrors and pit them against one another. They’re not mutually exclusive. It’s *all* fucking awful.
