McGree's movement is absolutely excellent and if he can stay fit it seems like he's finally solved that problem position for us. Absolutely miles above Burgzorg on that side. #boro

That being said, it's mad to me that nobody in the Prem wanted Targett on loan. I can think of at least four or five teams who'd benefit from him. Pretty obviously a class above this division, versatile and with bags of quality. #boro

Amazing how easily Bangura has slotted back in after so long away, given he's been injured pretty much since he arrived. It's going to be hard to drop him once we've actually got fit CBs #boro

Better showing from Conway but still just not getting into positions to score. Doesn't matter on a day like today but he's going to have to start chipping in with goals at some point #boro

Brynn once again hard done by not to get a clean sheet, penalty wasn't really his fault and if it wasn't a dive it was really close to being one #boro

Honourable mentions to McGree, Bangura and Strelec who all played really excellently. #boro

Delightful way to start the weekend:

⭐⭐⭐ Gilbert - faded in the second half, but a goal and an assist alongside tons of nice touches.
⭐⭐ Whittaker - probably the best player on the pitch for the whole 90, showed strength, class and composure.
⭐ Hackney - the best player in the division. #boro

He’s been great today, and showed strength we didn’t see from him earlier in the season there, but Whittaker absolutely needs to release the ball more quickly with Strelec beyond him #boro

Genuinely didn't imagine I'd find myself missing Sepp Blatter, genuinely remarkable achievement from Infantino, you've got to hand it to him.

I obviously still like the game having beaten it twice, but it genuinely infuriates me as often as it thrills me which is just such a shame. Even knowing roughly what was coming this second time through I approached a lot of areas with dread rather than excitement to re-experience it.

I just think as a game it goes way too far out of its way to punish players for trying to return to the bigger challenges, keeping you stuck on these continuous groups that require meaningless combat.

Underworks is absolutely littered with groups of flying enemies who track you if you try to skip past them, spam projectiles and move just out of reach if you try to jump towards them. And that area is your reward for beating the Last Judge!

If you removed literally one enemy from the Last Judge runback, a large part of the complaints about that whole section would stop. You can easily skip all but one enemy in that whole runback and it's the tiny flying guy right at the start over a pit of spikes. And this happens everywhere.

It basically means that, on any runback, boss or otherwise, it's next to impossible to skip many low-level enemies to get back to your resources or to re-fight a boss. You always have to deal with these (sometimes multiple) small enemies hovering just out of reach, preventing you from passing.

This is nothing new, but having just finished a second play through of Silksong - there's just too many flying enemies. I can live with a lot of the rest of it, the scarce benches, the wild difficulty spikes, the double damage, but the flying enemies tip the game into fully obnoxious.

If you’re willing to put up with the weekly tweets about football for the occasional tweet about something else it feels like the least I can do is give it a go.

I do not care how many publications I respect put the Addison Rae record in their Best Albums Of The Year, you simply cannot get me to listen to a record by a TikTok dancer.

Unsure of the way to do it, but it would be interesting to see if players who ‘want it less’ spent more time walking relative to previous games. Not going that extra yard or two into a tackle feels like a telltale sign of a player who’s already finished for the season/competition.

That’s a genuinely sensational goal from Dewsbury-Hall, what a first touch.
