A sam&max comic. Sam and Max are sitting on a couch, the background is kept simple and only colored in blue. Sam is eating pizza, while Max is eating popcorn. They are in the middle of a conversation. In the first panel, Max says: ‘Oh yeah I had a huuuge crush on you. So embarrassing’ Sam asks: ‘You did? When?’ Max replies: ‘I think when I was a pre-teen? But I didn’t know people could be gay back then, so I ignore it. I truly realized when I was a teen, but I was too busy surviving highschool to focus much on it. The crush truly got huge when we were in our 20s, I was unemployed so I guess I had more time to think about my life and relationships. But I got over it, it was just a dumb meaningless crush.’ In the second panel, Sam is frowning at that answer and says: ‘Hey! Should I be offended by that?’ Max is smiling and grabs a popcorn. He says: ‘You know what I mean, Sam! Sure, you’re cute, but nothing was ever going to happen, obviously! I just had to come to terms with that. And after that: boom! Crush gone!’ Sam replies with: ‘… I see.’

A panel with no dialogue, Max is eating popcorn while Sam has a blank look on his face staring at nothing. In the second panel, Sam suddenly says: ‘You’re sure you don’t still have a small little crush on me?’ Max replies: ‘I’m sure’ Sam insists: ‘… Are you REALLY sure?’

Max looks at Sam with an amused smile on his face and says: ‘Aww you’re worried things will be awkward now? Don’t worry Sam, I don’t feel absolutely anything for you anymore! And that’s never going to change! I’m completely over you and I won’t feel anything for you ever again!’ In the second panel, Sam and Max don’t say anything, but they both have thinking bubbles over their heads. Sam is thinking: ‘Maybe if I ‘accidentally’ drop our pizza to the floor it won’t be weird if I start sobbing uncontrollably’. He has a blank look on his face while he holds a plate with pizza. Meanwhile, Max has a relaxed and happy look on his face while he eats the popcorn. He is thinking: ‘I hope a hitman breaks in and kills me.’

I think pre-devil’s playhouse this was the only way for max to confess his feelings for sam. the agony.

Back at the barnyard situation where the voice actors start claiming sam and max are gay and say 'what are you going to do, cancel us more?'

If sam and max had a new cartoon show it should be episodic except for the last two episodes that are all lore heavy and dramatic and then the show gets cancelled after one season again

posting about my art, projects and puppets on here yesterday made me think 'wait maybe I am kind of awesome...' like wow i create things that's cool. But in a minute I will start rambling about Sam&Max like an insane person and will feel cringe again so it's okay, back to normal

Gravity falls really did have an entire first season of just funny episodes and then the lore mystery heavy second season but people expect new cartoons to be the second season immediately with zero build up

I've been rewatching many early to mid 2010s cartoons and I really miss when cartoons got to be silly and episodic without needing a complex lore immediately and also they had more than 30 episodes
