As we move toward a more inclusive society, tools that help us explore our own subjectivity and desire are valid and valuable.

Respondents also critiqued the current market. Major complaints included: ❌ Potential hygiene/health risks (68.75%) ❌ "Male gaze" designs that ignore female anatomy (39.06%)

There is a huge demand for safer, female-centric designs that prioritize real experience over look.

The takeaway? "Traditional" gender roles often act as a barrier to sexual agency.

When women reject the "passive" script, they are more likely to reclaim ownership of their bodies and pleasure. Sex toys are becoming tools of liberation, not just recreation.

This was the most interesting finding: The study asked women to rate their own "femininity" based on traditional standards (gentleness, passivity).

Those who identified as having below average traditional femininity were significantly MORE interested in sex toys (93.44%)

Who is most interested? The breakdown is surprising: 🥇 Heterosexual Females: 89.62% 🥈 Homosexual Males: 87.5% 🥉 Homosexual Females: 82.86%

Even among asexual respondents, 50% expressed an intention to use them.

The interest is HIGH across the board.

Contrary to the idea that women are "conservative" about pleasure, 78.11% of female respondents expressed interest in sex toys, nearly matching the 83.33% of males.

The stigma is fading. Exploration is in.

First, the context: The researcher surveyed 219 individuals, primarily college students in China.

While the sample size is small and localized, the results offer a rare glimpse into how "traditional language environments" and gender norms influence sexual autonomy.
