This is a Republican talking point. Most of congress, and most of its leadership, is in its 50s and 60s.

Running for office is a full time, unpaid job. AOC tended bar. Max Frost drove Uber.

That’s difficult on its own and harder, if not impossible, with a family, unless you’re rich.

They’re also exceptionally young for the positions they’re in, which isn’t to say unqualified or untalented.

Whether or not someone had been working that whole time, they’d have been hard pressed to have built up the traditional resume for an elected office at that level.

That is actually really high for electronic fundraising (and marketing), especially since most of those lists are pure churn.
