I made a “hackable” version of the code available for those of you who want to write your own firmware, this should get you started:

I am so honored that I got to be a part of junkyard! Such an exciting idea to encourage hacking for the sake of hacking and revel in the fun and curiosity. Being a judge went by so fast! But I am happy I got to be on stage with my friends and that I was trusted to adjudicate such awesome research.

Some stats for the @districtcon.bsky.social Year 1 badge challenge ( game.districtcon.org ):
- 410 registered users (out of ~1200 attendees)
- 5.4 average puzzles solved (of 38 total puzzles)
- A high score of 469 by "chef" (of 620 possible)

DISTRICTCON IS STILL A GO! We are excited to see you all on Saturday, January 24 as we are still going through our normal programming!

While we are unable to process refunds, we are adding virtual components to Saturday AND Sunday including a livestream for public sessions for ticket holders.

We are making preparations for this option and are working through the logistics for this. We appreciate your patience as we navigate the situation! More updates to come.
