After ICE agents shot people in Minneapolis tonight, a crowd faced them down and eventually chased them away, despite federal mercenaries and police shooting a tremendous amount of tear gas.
ICE agents abandoned vehicles in the area, containing IDs, paperwork, license plates, and operational plans.
A Reuters investigation details how Israel used repurposed M113 armored personnel carriers packed with 1–3 tons of explosives as ground-based truck bombs in Gaza City in the weeks before the October 10 ceasefire. As Israeli forces advanced into central Gaza City, these APC bombs, alongside airstrikes and bulldozers, flattened dense residential neighborhoods like Tel al-Hawa and Sabra. Satellite imagery shows at least 650 buildings destroyed in six weeks. Residents described blasts that felt like earthquakes, with no warning in some cases. Military experts told Reuters the explosions rivaled Israel’s largest U.S.-supplied aerial bombs, the 2000-pounders, sending debris hundreds of meters and collapsing multi-storey buildings. The use of APCs as bombs is highly unusual and risks indiscriminate damage in urban areas, the experts said. Israeli officials said the tactic was needed to counter alleged Hamas booby traps and was guided by military necessity. Hamas denied booby-trapping buildings at scale. UN officials and international law scholars warned that deploying multi-ton explosives in residential areas may violate humanitarian law and could amount to wanton destruction, a potential war crime.
