One of my good judys went on a date yesterday and the date mentioned reading Boys Come First in their book club. The flex isn’t the book club, the flex is that this isn’t even the first, second or third time that my work has come up when one of the homies is out with someone.

I told Dad I’m voluntarily out the dating scene for a ton of reasons, the simplest being that I hate repetition. How many times must I answer how many siblings I have? To which I ask Dad, ain’t you tired of saying how many kids you got? Nope, because he brags on us. And therein lies the difference.

My 62-year-old dad is actively dating and said to me that if he can find romance at that age then I shouldn’t have a problem. I reminded him that
1. He is straight
2. His dating pool is future caretakers seeking same
3. Men — him included — lie
4. My dating pool is number 3

One of my little brothers casually announced he’s moving to Minneapolis so guess which annoying eldest brother is about to go DEEP in their Black Midwest history bag?
