We ask the workers of the Central Valley to stay true to the principles of international solidarity, and to demand that our cowardly representatives in Congress act to block Trump’s unconstitutional warmongering.

No country or group of people has ever benefitted from U.S. intervention, and never will as long as we remain a capitalist nation.

What does this moment ask of us? It asks us to resist, to stand in solidarity with the people of Venezuela, and to show that our principles guide our resistance.

As socialists, we know that capitalism will never give us a U.S. foreign policy centered on peace, multilateralism, and respect for national sovereignty and self-determination.

We must also end the sanctions against Venezuela, end the capitalist so-called war on drugs that we use to inflict misery on countless workers of the world, and reestablish diplomatic relations with the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

NCVDSA demands that the U.S. return the abducted Venezuelan president and first lady, withdraw all soldiers, and end this war.

In the name of “freedom and justice,” the United States will only worsen the conditions of the workers of Venezuela, as it does every time and in every place it wages another war of regime change.

This is an imperialist attempt to install a U.S. puppet government to seize Venezuelan oil on behalf of U.S. capitalist corporations and to continue to impose U.S. hegemony over Latin America.

Make demands of them to make your community a better one and if they don’t listen replace them! Talk to your local Democratic Party! With all three branches of government controlled by fascists at the national level we need to be extra involved in getting local governments that are willing and able to resist the Trump administration. This is doubly true if you live in a red state.
