Became Martins Bank in 1928

239 Westminster Road, Kirkdale, Liverpool. Carries the initials JAH, and a date of 1883 . Doctor James Alexander Hendry was a local doctor, and visiting surgeon to executions at Kirkdale Gaol. He passed away here in 1903. The house continued to be a doctors surgery for many years

Falaba was torpedoed with the loss of 104 people, inc. Leon Thrasher, the first US citizen killed by the actions of a U-boat

No.2 Rodney Street, Liverpool, was built c1830, and for over 80 years was residence of the Bickersteth family.
Dr. E. R. Bickersteth died here on 7th March 1908, leaving Β£342,955..... the equivalent of some Β£44million today!
