Heading back to the US today, after a month in England – a reminder how alien the concept of 'home' has become for me. England (and Britain in general) is my homeland, but isn't home anymore; while I will always be an immigrant with a foreign accent in the US, regardless of my citizenship, etc.

One of the things about JD Vance is that he is completely 100% aware that what he is doing is evil and has made a deliberate, conscious choice to do evil to get power. He’s not self-deluded or dumb. He hasn’t drunk Kool-Aid. He’s decided to do evil for power.

Life is suffering.

This wasp stung me – on my lace. But the silly sucker’s stinger got stuck (say that quickly!) and he couldn’t extricate himself. Ha.

So proclaimed liberals and leftists getting extremely comfortable using the r slur is definitely not a good sign for disabled people. However ableist folks want to spin it, the resurgence of use is really bad.
