Tried starting Warcraft 3 in Lutris, stuck on the pre-menu screen. Made a new prefix and installed via battle.net and Warcraft III Reforged scripts from lutris. No change.
I might actually be done with the last non-native game I still played out of nostalgia. That's why I only buy native games now.

Warum das Kartellamt nichts dagegen unternimmt, dass kein Smartphone Betriebssystem, bei dem man nicht Googles oder Apples Datenschutzbedingungen zustimmmen muss eine Chance hat, muss ich wohl nicht verstehen.
Trotzdem sollte jeder verlangen, dass Digitalisierung webbasiert funktionieren muss.

Wenn man ΓΌber Appzwang spricht, sollte man vor allem ΓΌber Google Play bzw iOS Zwang sprechen.
Auch mit meinem Ubuntu Touch Smartphone kΓΆnnte ich den App-basierten Parkplatz oder die App-exklusiven DHL Packstationen nicht nutzen: Konkurrenz im Smartphone OS Markt ist von vorneherein ausgeschlossen.

Yea, I think the scale of the game world feels off. You can traverse each of the maps in like 2-3 minutes so traveling doesn't actually feel like it takes days and you don't want to go to sleep every couple of minutes. Making traveling between locations a big undertaking could improve it probably.

AMD GPU? It sometimes (?) fails to read the EDID on boot and somehow ends up offering it as a 640x480 display to the OS, and login managers like to render for the lowest deteced resolution... Replugging headset power or Displayport connection usually helps.

The reason I did not expect it is that this happened literally a few steps away from a camp full of allies. It made absolutely no sense that Halsin bet his and Thaniel's life on just the 4 of us and didn't even tell us to take a rest before. I don't appreciate plain unfair encounters like that.

For example I did not take a long rest before meeting Halsin at the lake.Yet Halsin decided to drop me directly into a huge battle where I had almost no AOE attacks. One last Wall of Fire, and lots of bombs and thrown fire flasks carried that fight but it was way tougher than it needed to be.

I am definitely not a fan of all the mechanics. Am I supposed to take a long rest after every 2 fights, and before every conversation that I have any suspicion at all could drop me into an event? This just feels like forcing the play time to be longer for no reason.

If the editor runs with proton, then you could probably use that but it's probably better to use an engine that takes cross platform support more serious.

Ich habe trotzdem noch geschaut, wie es funktioniert. Auch hier soll man wohl seine Bank Login Daten in eine Eingabemaske eingeben, die NICHT von der eigenen Bank ist. Auch wenn das von PSD2 so vorgesehen sein soll, gehe ich davon aus, dass diese Unart demnΓ€chst komplett verboten wird.

Ich habe kΓΌrzlich zum ersten mal Pay by Bank gesehen und habe natΓΌrlich gleich nachgeschaut, ob das einfach nur Vorkasse ist. Nein, es ist ein Dienst von Tink. Tink ist ein "europΓ€ischer" Finanzdienstleister, der von VISA gekauft wurde. Da war ich natΓΌrlich schon raus.

I was wondering why the game felt unnecessarily "challenging". Turns out I managed to not find Astarion. Now I'm ending another day to meet with Halsin in camp, and I talk with Astarion about him killing goblins, even though I did that without him.

If you go to camp and end the day in the goblin fortress right after taking out the goblin leaders, the game says someone in your camp wants to speak with you even when there is no one. Also The conversations you can have seem to refer to a conversation with Halsin you haven't had yet.

Halsin implies you can take out just the goblin leaders. Not really, taking out the Hobgoblin will make *all* goblins hostile to you no matter where they are.
The Drow location is buggy - when you destroy the bridge, an enemy standing on either side of the broken bridge is unselectable.

Big kudos to Baldur's Gate 3 for being one of the first big games in a long time to make a native linux version (for the steam deck). I'm definitely enjoying it on desktop linux (I use arch btw) but tbh it feels somewhat unfinished. Spoilers for the first few hours ahead:

Presumably you try SteamVR and the UI shows no devices? At the basis the linux user needs full access to the USB HID device - for this, either the steamvr-devices or xr-hardware should be installed.
If there's still nothing, replug usb while running journalctl --follow and see if something happens.

If you are on wayland, blender needs to be started either with xwayland "WAYLAND_DISPLAY= blender", or switch to blender's vulkan renderer in the blender settings.
blender's OpenGL OpenXR support on Wayland has always been broken.

Hours after I posted this the first few shops started listing the ASUS model with an expected release date of 09.10.2025 and a price of 1.444,00 β¬.
