There's a plot point I knew I would have to figure out in my WIP, but I haven't been too worried because it's near the end of the book. I reached that point today and was like OH NO. The time is nigh. 1/2

Even more insidious, sometimes these scam emails claim to come from non-famous authors like me. And that makes them more believable!
Helpful tip: authors almost never reach out unless we’re forced to.

Authors, Beware! There's a firm called "ClaimsHero" doing aggressive social media outreach claiming to
"help" you file to get $ in the Anthropic class action. In fact, it's a bait-and-switch, they are luring authors to sign up with them, then OPTING THEM OUT of the class action so they'll get zilch.

I got a chilling email last week, asking if I’d used “The Author’s Edge” services. The site used me as a reference with a fraudulent VHStone gmail address.

I am the total opposite! 😂 I'm too easily distracted by the temptation to eavesdrop at another location.
