0259 :: IDEA
May have to assemble a gas mask like this one of these days...
As someone who listens to industrial as a borderline form of substance, yes absolutely 💯
Rock it and rock it hard
I can see it
05.10.2025 01:24 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Trust me, I get it. I get seasonal fatigue and I can't do anything when it hits
All the more important to do what we can, when we can. Right?
I love your process' simplicity.
I'll have to try it when I get around to making my own and be sure to credit you
0259 :: COMPLIMENT
From one leatherworker to another, this is really good work
Looking forward to seeing more from her
From one leatherworker to another: that looks excellent!
How did you make the pattern or is that a trade secret?
I hate how reasonable this is...
I *may* have to try this
0259 :: UPDATE
Made a bondage belt. Plenty of attachment points for all the needs.
With some luck and enough time, this drone hopes to show what all these tidbits will lead up to
Very nice! It turned out well

0259 :: UPDATE
Replaced the old fraying elastic back of the gas mask.
For whatever reason, chose hot pink elastic and this drone thinks it came out well. Very high probability it will continue using hot pink as a contrast to the black. Gives 2077 vibes
I must say, that handprint is impeccable
29.09.2025 00:06 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Oh, I love the design!
Where did you find it (or did you make it yourself)?
0259 :: IDEAS
Been thinking about using an outsert as a blindfold. Would like to put a design on it to please the Owner(s) and to make known blindfold is on.
Thus far this drone has developed 2 designs that could work on a concave surface.
Input and constructive criticism welcomed
Ok, now I have to know:
Did the red/blue stereoscopic lens idea work?
Either way, it's a super cool look and I'm glad you stuck with it.
Reminds me of some punk styles (especially Captain Sensible of the Damned or Devo)
Best of luck!

BTW, from one leatherworker to another, they actually look pretty good. Better than some of my first stuff at least
Thank you! I have a friend who could use this

The community gets so much hate and misunderstanding that it's really saddening
3D PRINTING
The barrier to start keeps getting cheaper. If you can find a used printer, get it. Otherwise there's plenty of places that will print for you
For making your own designs, Blender & FreeCAD are available for free. It'll take a while to get good at them, but the sky is the limit
SEWING
Not as easy as leatherwork, but applies in surprising ways.
Keep trying and your skill will improve. This drone started with making bags and applying patches
And for sewing machines, start with a used one. You don't need many stitches when that old metal one will take care of any project
LEATHERWORK
Surprisingly easy.
A simple collar can be made with an old belt, pop rivets, a leather hole punch, a larger belt, some D-rings, and a sharp knife
Build your toolset with your skills. Start small and simple, it's very easy to build up from there
Make it your own. Even drones are unique in sometimes subtle ways, so why shouldn't your stuff be as unique as you are?
23.09.2025 19:49 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0DIY & BUYING USED
Buy used when you can. Often it's at a better deal and are close enough to new. Accept that sometimes repairs are involved but with every repair, it becomes your own
DIY what you're able to. Make it your own. You'll view that item closer to your heart when you do
0259 :: INTRODUCTION
This drone's intent with much of this is to chronicle its progression into becoming a drone.
But it also wishes to inspire others as the other drones here have inspired it. So it will show what can be done by DIY and frugally
So this thread will contain tips & tricks
Simply put:
