Back in the days of running time time clocks, sometimes when it was super-quick you had to be careful throwing too many draws - the shots could take nearly 30 seconds to get down the ice.

Interesting data. Many folks subconsciously release or pitch outturns 'harder', especially if their slide is decelerating. My pet theory is that's because an outturn release is nearest a natural throwing motion, so it's easier to add release force on the out than on the in. Cool stuff.
