The joint Economic Development (ECON) and Planning, Housing and Parks (PHP) Committee will meet at 1:30 p.m. to receive a briefing on value-added agriculture and agritourism with the Maryland Department of Agriculture.

The Public Safety (PS) Committee will meet Monday, Nov 10 at 1:30 p.m. to receive a briefing from the Office of Animal Services on Maddie’s Million Pet Challenge recommendations and the low cost spay and neuter program.

The Economic Development (ECON) Committee will meet Monday Nov. 10 at 1:30 p.m. to receive an update on activities and outlook for 2026 from the Montgomery County Economic Development Corporation (MCEDC) and review a resolution to redesignate MCEDC as the County’s economic development corporation.

The Transportation and Environment (TE) Committee will meet Monday, Nov. 3 at 9:30 a.m. to review Expedited Bill 30-25, Noise Control - Leaf Removal Equipment - Enforcement Procedures, & receive an update on transit services, including Bus Rapid Transit (BRT), Ride On Reimagined, & fare-free buses.

The Public Safety (PS) Committee will meet on Monday, Nov. 3 at 9:30 a.m. to receive a briefing on Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) staffing and an update on police department overtime.

This special appropriations package will be introduced by the full Council on Nov. 4 with a public hearing and Council vote expected on Nov. 18.

The Government Operations and Fiscal Policy (GO) Committee will meet on Thursday, Oct. 30 at 9:30 a.m. to review a resolution to approve a $180,000 supplemental appropriation for the Montgomery County Office of Human Resources to support the hiring of displaced federal workers.
