Instead, these programs divert funding from public schools, which hits rural schools the hardest since they rely more heavily on state and federal funding. This means fewer teachers, programs, and resources for rural public schools. 3/3

Despite their general lack of favorability among the public, private school choice programs are expanding. But these programs don't actually provide choice to students and families & they certainly don't offer choice to rural students who often lack access to private schools. 2/3
