@yorkbirding.bsky.social @northyorksbirds.bsky.social Very hot day at Wheldrake Ings~7 kites up~3 swooping round busy tractors, up to 9 little egrets at Pool hide, 2 buzzards, whitethroat, swallows, blackcap, green sandpipers, sedge & willow warblers, blue tits, kingfisher & lots of grey herons.

A good 2 days, catching up with the peregrine at York Uni & then the US wigeon ( 1 shot of when it wasn't asleep!) & 100s of pink footed geese, plus a bonus white front, at East Cottingwith pond. Thank you to the gentleman from Thixendale for his company & spotting prowess!
I hope you can get it finished over time then~look forward to seeing it! xx

Back 2 grey again 2day. Been fighting a planning application most of Jan~thankfully refused but could appeal. Countryside vanishing under concrete.☹️ xx
