MLK was only 39 when he was killed. Growing up, I thought that was old. But I’m 43 now and I’m stunned by the burden he shouldered at such a young age. I’m also a lot more aware of how hard it is, at any age, to carry the hopes and dreams of an oppressed people on your shoulders, as so many do.

Random PSA: Mpox is still circulating. If you didn't get both vaccine doses back in 2022, you can still get them. You can ask that the vaccine be given subcutaneously (which doesn't cause a rash). I recommend doing this, not just for your own safety but for you friends and neighbors.

I am on my way home to Toronto and the aurorae are absolutely phenomenal.
