i'm buddies with the first (very short 3yr marriage) and cordial with the second, i kinda just let her have everything, including the house, it made it easier for me to just finally walk away and her to have nothing to fight about.

most of my possessions are less than two years old; but i have my dad's old tuba that one might call worn out.

I had an artistic director at a theatre i worked at who would never let me do a thing if it wasn't her idea; so i would tell her i wanted the alternative, and she would decide to do the thing i actually wanted. every time. people always asked me how i worked for her for so long.

it is cool, we see each other every 15 years or so, but chat regularly.
