My 2 cents about charter schools.
I don't like the concept is an understatement.
This yo-yo at change of govt is not helpful.
So, when Labour/Greens/TPM forms govt, cut their funding to align with what state schools are getting and put all the requirements of testing & reporting.

I support this, even though I'm a Greens voter, because the left need to join forces to get rid of the worst govt Aotearoa had.
There is a lot of myths to kill off, there will be a lot of scaremongering. I think we all need to join forces to combat this and give a left govt a chance.

I have already started voting with my purse and stopped buying these brands.

As far as I know, this is already used and it can save time BUT (and this is a huge BUT) a human still goes through the notes to make sure no mistakes were made, add info etc.
I'm not saying a blanket no but I would like to see the safeguards in place.

What is the point of the country looking for growth, growth, growth if we can't find enough resources to make sure NO child is harmed, NO child lives in poverty, NO child is left behind.

It's getting to a point where I think the only way to deliver the message is for all public sector employees to just walk off their jobs.

I suggest they cancel it all. Get Nicola Willis to send a text message informing the projects are canceled and explain to the public, in her highly condescending tone, that a Ferrari road isn't the only option, we can get a 2nd hand Corolla one (not that gave an Ferrari level roads anyway.)

I'm just over sending emails to the Muppet show that is our govt, emails they mostly ignore and send no reply.
This needs to be published as a letter from the public on Stuff. Would there be a journalist who will pick it up?

And, if you require every new build, residential or commercial, to have solar, it's a win-win-win.

To think that for that money, we could have had two future proofed ferries, first arriving pretty soon, and a future proofed port side.

I am puzzled as to who is their comms manager. They are doing a total disservice.
I also think that Hipkins is a liability. People don't like him and no amount of self convincing will change that. No amount of "you just need to get to know him better" helps Luxon. McAnulty on the other hand...

Awesome! In today's job market any young fella that not only keeps its job but gets a promotion is a huge relief. Great employers know how to retain good staff and I'm happy for them that they have work going forward. That's a relief too.

The next step is explaining why women should not vote.

I don't think it will work this time round.
House prices are so cooked, a decrease in mortgage rates isn't going to do much. And when people are losing their jobs on a daily basis they don't feel safe enough to start splashing on over priced houses.

Taking away their pay equity claims wasn't on the bingo-list for Mother's Day 2025 of the hard working, poorly paid women either!
